2018 Caulfield Classic at Caulfield

The 2018 Caulfield Classic will light up Caulfield racecourse on Saturday 20th October 2018 in Melbourne, Victoria, as the spring carnival gets into overdrive.

Previously run as the Norman Robinson Stakes, the race became the Caulfield Classic in 2014 and offers prizemoney of $350,000 for three-year-old gallopers.

A bonus is also on offer for any three-year-old that can win the Caulfield Guineas or Thousand Guineas on the first day of the three-day Caulfield carnival and then take out the Caulfield Classic the following Saturday.

Talented filly Fontein Ruby was the inaugural Caulfield Classic winner in 2014, followed up by another filly, Sacred Eye, in 2015.

The Caulfield Classic is run over 2000 metres at Caulfield on the final day of the Melbourne Racing Club’s three-day spring racing carnival, alongside the Melbourne Racing Club’s premier race of the spring, the Caulfield Cup.
